Lavanid 1 solution is a sterile, iso-osmotic wound irrigation solution based on Ringer's solution with 0.02% polyhexanide as preservative. Polyhexanide also prevents the growth of microorganisms in wound dressings and in the solution.
It prevents swelling of the skin and irritation of the wound area.
The Polyhexanide component reduces the surface tension of the solution enabling it to reach the tissues better and more effectively.
