Adaptic Touch 7.6cm x 11cm - 10 dressings - Protective Mesh for deep Chronic wounds
This dressing is designed for deep, long term wounds that are discharging wound exudate and which may or may not be infected
Adaptic Touch silicone mesh is non-stick.
It will not stick to the wound at all and this is important in large deep wounds where changing the dressings may be very painful
It is placed directly onto the wound and an absorbant / protective dressing is placed on top of it.
The idea is that the exudate from the wound flows through the Adaptic and is absorbed by the dressing on top of the Adaptic Touch
It is used for deep decubitus ulcers, for example in diabetics, where there may be little or no realistic chance of the ulcer completely healing and the objective is to make the patient as comfortable as possible and reduce the discomfort experienced when the dressings are changed.
