These long sponge sticks are useful for giving small amounts of water / fluid to people who are not able to drink from a cup

They would be used in home care situation for older or disabled patients where drinking from a cup could trigger the gag reflex

The sponges can be dipped into water / juice and then place into the patients mouth where they squeeze the sponge to release the fluid
